This study aims to investigate the impact of health literacy level on the speed of response to rehabilitation programs among track and field athletes. The sample consisted of 120 male players affiliated with the Tripoli sub-union. The descriptive analytical method was adopted, and a questionnaire was used as the main tool for data collection. The results revealed a strong relationship between health literacy and rehabilitation response speed, as athletes with higher health literacy showed greater adherence and faster recovery. Moreover, treatment adherence was found to be a mediating variable that enhances the effect of health literacy. The study recommends integrating health literacy into rehabilitation programs and developing practical strategies to raise athletes’ awareness, thereby improving the efficiency of therapeutic and rehabilitation programs and achieving better outcomes in the sports field.
