Journal Policies
Editorial Policy
The journal is committed to publishing high-quality, original research that advances knowledge in basic and applied sciences. All submissions are subject to a rigorous editorial and peer-review process to ensure scientific accuracy, ethical standards, and a professional level of writing. The editorial board reserves the right to reject any manuscript that does not meet the journal's scope or ethical guidelines.
Open Access Policy
JIBAS is an open-access journal, which means all articles are freely available to the public immediately upon publication. Readers can access, download, and share the full-text articles without any subscription fees or financial barriers. This policy supports the global exchange of knowledge and maximizes the visibility and impact of the published research. The journal uses a Creative Commons license (CC BY-NC-SA) to define the terms of use.
Peer Review Policy
All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process. This means the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential to ensure an impartial evaluation. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two external experts in the relevant field. The reviewers provide a comprehensive report and recommendation, which the editor uses to make a final decision on acceptance, revision, or rejection.
Copyright Policy
Authors retain the copyright to their published articles. By submitting to JIBAS, authors grant the journal a license to publish their work and to act as the original publisher. Authors also grant third parties the right to use the article for non-commercial purposes, provided the original authors and the journal are properly cited.
Authorship Policy
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the research. This includes significant involvement in the conception or design of the study; the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data; and the drafting or critical revision of the manuscript for intellectual content. All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work.
Author Self-Archiving Policy
Authors are permitted to self-archive their work in institutional or subject-specific repositories at various stages:
-
Submitted version (Pre-print): Authors can immediately post the original version of the manuscript on a personal or institutional website before peer review.
-
Accepted version (Post-print): Authors may archive the final, peer-reviewed version of the manuscript after it has been accepted for publication.
-
Published version (Version of Record): Due to the journal's open-access nature, the final published PDF version can also be shared widely.
Plagiarism Policy
The journal has a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism. All submissions are checked using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a high percentage of unoriginal content (typically over 25% similarity) will be rejected immediately. If plagiarism is detected after publication, the article will be retracted, and the authors and their institutions will be notified.
Conflict of Interest Policy
All authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could be perceived as a conflict of interest and may compromise their objectivity. Authors must declare any financial support, grants, or affiliations that are relevant to their research at the time of submission.
Data Sharing Policy
JIBAS encourages authors to make the data supporting the results of their research publicly available. Authors are required to provide a statement on data availability, including any data sets cited in the manuscript, to support the principles of open science and transparency.
Publication Ethics and Malpractice
The journal is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in publishing. We adhere to the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Any allegations of misconduct, including data fabrication, image manipulation, or duplicate submission, will be investigated. The journal will take appropriate action, which may include the retraction of the article and a ban on future submissions from the authors.
