The Role of Digital Transformation in Improving Administrative Performance: An Applied Study on the Municipal Council of Murzuq

Abstract

Digitalization plays a significant role in our world today in accomplishing various administrative and daily tasks. It contributes effectively to completing different tasks quickly and with great efficiency, thus saving a lot of effort and time. This, in turn, enables various organizations and individuals to achieve a number of goals and objectives that they would not have been able to reach without the existence of digital technology in its various forms, from the internet and databases to information networks and impressive artificial intelligence. Technology and digital transformation today have strongly helped in management, whether in issuing decisions, directing individuals, organizing, or monitoring. It has also made it easier for large organizations to manage their branches spread across the globe all at once with ease and convenience. In this applied research, we try to identify the role of digital transformation in a local organization in the State of Libya that practices the administrative work of local government. Does the Murzuq Municipality use digital transformation in accomplishing its various administrative tasks? And has digital transformation helped in improving administrative performance? This is the essence of this applied research, through which we will reach results and facts through this investigative research.
