We live in the age of software and information technology, where software maintenance plays a pivotal role in developing systems within organizations to meet user needs and keep pace with the rapid advancements in information technology and modern techniques. After software delivery to the client, maintenance begins. Software maintenance is one of the most time-consuming and resource-intensive phases of the software development lifecycle. This paper aims to study the maintenance of a real-world software system in the healthcare sector. The system's operational problems were analyzed, the types of maintenance applied were identified, and the procedures followed to address technical and organizational challenges were determined. The study's findings demonstrate that implementing a structured software maintenance methodology effectively contributes to improved performance, reduced downtime, and increased user satisfaction
